Добре, бях решил да се опитам да ползвам блогър отново, като блог платформа де. Е, не става.. прекалено им е смотан WYSIWYG редактора, съжалявам. Това е положението. Просто LJ се правят по-добре и толкова. Така се Sayonara Blogger, до година до друга може пак. Аз като гледам така, някъде на две години правя вяли опити да сменя нещо в работния си процес ама...

camouflage/камуфлаж

Аз напоследък рядко чета художествена литература, основната причина е разбира се компютъра. Основният проблем с него е, че не се ползва удобно в хоризонтално положение, а аз обичам да си лежа (вероятно защото и стола ползван за компютъра е твърде нисък или масата твърде ниска или не знам... абе не е удобно) и в него вариант ми е по-лесно да чета.

Купих си "на фантазия" новото от Бард - Joe Haldeman - Camouflage. Оказа се доста добра, На един дъх я прочетох (почти, почнах я вчера на работа, днес я довърших). Чете се много лесно и е структурирана на три пласта, което я прави дори още по привлекателна. Препоръчвам я на всички почитатели на фантастиката (най-вече sci-fi). Романът е печелил Небюла за 2005 година и може да бъде закупен от Amazon или от Бард.

Междувременно ако някой е пропуснал спечелилия тази година кратък разказ Хюго веднага да го направи.

Actually I was about to talk about two films I saw today:



Space chimps - pretty stupid one, really no one should ever see this if older than 3.



Boy A - UK. This should say enough. I mean, the British accent is really really bothering me, most of the time I was completely unable to understand what the f*ck are they talking about. They even say f*ck differently - like fock or something. The R is completely missing (but of cou*se, this is b*itish English). Being said that the film is based on the novel of Jonathan Trigell (also named Boy A) I expected it to be interesting. And it was, it made much more sense than 99 percent of the US productions. But compared to "No night is too long" it was not such a brilliant work. Meaning, without having read the book, I believe the scenario translation of the novel was not that good. Still the movie is a good one (except the already mentioned flaw, namely the British accent).
If you are questioning yourself about the title of this post, it was a reminder of me for the wonderful boobees of a friend of mine, which I haven't seen recently (I know, it is a shame). The girl in the film have had such nice ones. Like this friend of mine... hum.. wondering what is she doing now. Probably sharing them with her husband. Again, such a pity.

I have decided to re-join the blogger community. Not that I am not satisfied with live journal, I am. It is just that I like diversity. I guess... So I will give it a shot.

Kiba beryl and macmenu

Well well well... here we go. Finally I managed to understand why kiba was not working - some stupid things happens with it's schema files, someone has to learn how to use gconf! After days of experimenting with the settings of beryl and kiba finally I got where I wanted to be, the perfect desktop (IMHO).

Unfortunately there is no slowdown option for the animations in kiba-dock but basically I set the physics as follows:
Elasticity: 0,17
Friction: 1850
Inertia: 1,28
K (what is this?): 2,13
Throw gravity: 2,00
Gravity Multiplier: 840,00
Launchers type: dock
Mouseover effect pulse with zoom factor of 1.26 and exec pulse option set to on.
This results in icons not bouncing around like insane and still pretty good effects with good responsibility on user interaction. The icons slightly pulse on mouse over and the do not move on click, instead the on click a bigger pulse is emitted. I don't really like bouncing that much especially when I work.
So, the next thing is a big one.... getting to fedora core 6 with all the custom packages I use and.... the Drag and Drop functionality working with beryl in scale/show desktop mode.....

I hope for it I pray for it I can't wait !!!!
